How to Use Our Flooring Estimate Calculator

Our free flooring estimate calculator helps you quickly estimate the potential cost of flooring for your space. Simply select the total square footage you need and choose your preferred flooring type to view an estimated flooring cost.

Follow These Simple Steps

  1. Use the slider to select the total square footage of your project.
  2. Choose a flooring type, such as carpet, tile, laminate, hardwood, or vinyl plank.
  3. Review the estimated price per square foot for the selected flooring.
  4. View the estimated flooring cost based on your selected area and material type.

For a more accurate result, calculate the total square footage of all rooms, closets, hallways, and other areas where flooring will be installed before using the calculator.

How to Calculate Your Square Footage

To calculate the square footage of a rectangular room, multiply the room’s length by its width.

For example:

15 feet × 10 feet = 150 square feet

If your project includes multiple rooms, calculate each room separately and add the totals together.

Important Estimate Information

The calculator provides a general planning estimate based on the selected square footage and flooring type. Your final project cost may vary depending on the specific flooring product, room layout, subfloor condition, installation requirements, material availability, and additional services.

Costs such as old flooring removal, subfloor preparation, underlayment, delivery, stairs, transitions, baseboards, and professional installation may not be included unless specifically shown in the estimate.

For an accurate project quote, schedule a professional in-home flooring measurement and consultation.
